The Animals Are Watching Us

Before I came to the United States, I knew that foreign countries paid more attention to the welfare of animals. Foreign zoos are mostly used to protect and rescue wild animals and are also non-profit organizations.

When I researched the history of the Zoo in Western countries, the direction of education and conservation was changed after 1980 when humans thought more about the welfare of animals in the world. The direction of the zoo in America has also changed. But some of these actions are for the protection of animals, and some are just for the benefit of humans.

Humans set boundaries for cages in zoos and for areas in sanctuaries. When people watch wild animals, the wild animals are watching us. My connection and the relationship created in this watching is what I want to document. I hope to record and express my feelings when I see zoo animals through photography.
